Auckland Pride is taking a day trip to Splore Festival!
That’s right the PrideXSplore is a bus load of queer joy and its heading to Tāpapakanga Regional Park for Saturday 21st February - the gayest day of the festival - and you’re invited to come!
Every pass includes festival entry, return transport a hosted queer crew and a rainbow of pals to explore, swim and dance with.
Whether you’ve always wanted to go but didn’t have a crew, or just weren’t ready to commit to the full weekend, PrideXSplore is the easiest, most joyful way to experience Splore Festival.
There’s two ways to ride the PrideXSplore to the gayest day at Splore.

The Splore Festival Charitable Trust and Auckland Pride have teamed up to bring a busload of queer joy from Karangahape Road to Tāpapakanga
Every exclusive Patron ticket sold (limit 15 max) does much more, it also co-funds up to 35 fabulous rainbow whānau who might not otherwise be able to experience Splore.
Patron tickets help co-fund 35 free community spots for whānau who lack the putea to make it to Splore Festival

Q: What is PrideXSplore?
A: PrideXSplore is a one-day guided Splore experience for anyone wanting to exoperience Splore for one day with a community of ranbow crew.
Q: How does the bus work?
A: We’ll pick up and drop off at the Rainbow Bridge on Karangahape Road. You just hop on the PrideXSplore air conditioned coach, and our team will make sure everyone gets to Splore safely and together.
Q: How do free tickets work?
A: When 15 Patron Tickets are sold, Splore gifts the remainder of the places for free tickets to fill the bus with a diversity of community members. You can register your interest for a free ticket and we’ll get back to you if space is available.
Q: Can I buy tickets just for myself?
A: Yes! One Patron Ticket covers your Splore day ticket, bus, and access to the Pride crew. You don’t need to buy more than one to join the fun.
Q: What if I’ve never been to Splore before?
A: Perfect! PrideXSplore is designed for first-timers in mind. Our crew will make sure you feel welcome, included, and ready to experience the festival at your own pace.
Q: Is it okay to come alone?
A: Absolutely. Our Pride crew is your crew, you’ll meet new friends and have people to explore with all day.
Q: What do I do if I need support on site?
A: You’re never on your own at Splore. There are multiple points of support across the festival including on-site medics, lifeguards, and security. The Info Tent next to teh old homestead down by the beach is always a great place to stop by if you have questions or concerns. If you need a calm, safe space to step away from it all, head to Camp Mum’s caravan in Camp HQ. There is cell reception on site, so you can easily reach out to friends or support if needed.
Q: What should I bring?
A: Dress comfortably, bring water bottle, sunscreen, togs, if you love an ocean dip and your sense of play. Costumes, glitter, and rainbow vibes are highly encouraged! There’s also a huge variety of delicious food and beverages to purchase from our many amazing vendors and bars. There are food options for every dietary need, all delicious and affordably priced and free drinking water available throughout the site.
Q: Will I need money?
A: Splore is a cashless festival. WAYVER is our festival currency wristband, which you’ll receive when you board the bus. At the festival you can head to one of the AWOP kiosks where you can pay cash or use your eftpos card to load up your wristband with any amount of money.
Q: What should I not bring?
A: Bringing your own alcohol is strictly prohibited, as is glass and antisocial or unsafe items.
