Staying at Splore

The majority of our guests stay onsite in one of the many camping zones. Every festival ticket includes free camping, from general areas to family-friendly zones where the kids rule. When you arrive you can walk or shuttle to the free camping fields where you can pick any available spot. Need more? You can pay for a range of camping upgrades.

Bringing a car or planning to stay in a camper-vehicle you'll need to get a parking pass or reserve a camper vehicle site.

Fill your car with Friends

At Splore, we are committed to reducing the number of vehicles arriving and lessening our environmental impact and more friends filling fewer cars is a great start. A great way to do this is to get more peeps into fewer cars through carpooling and ride sharing.

You can help by participating in our Carpool Club ‘Ride Sharing is Caring’ on Facebook. Connect with other Splorers, fill up your cars, and earn a partial parking pass refund for vehicles with 3+ people.

The rules.

To preserve the pristine nature of our stunning location and help ensure that we can connect and celebrate here for many years to come, please read and respect our bottom lines.

Waahi Tapu Sites - PLEASE KEEP OFF

Tāpapakanga Regional Park contains significant archaeological sites that are of historical importance to the tangata whenua, Ngati Whanaunga and Ngati Paoa. These are protected by law. Please respect these areas: they are clearly marked and are off limits.

No BYO booze

The smuggling and consumption of BYO alcohol is against our resource consent and liquor licensing agreements. We’d like Splore to continue for many years to come so we take this very seriously. You will be searched at entry and may be banned from festival if found with BYO alcohol.

No pets

Please leave your pets at home. Bylaws ban any and all pets in Tāpapakanga, though human party animals are always welcome.

No open fire

All open fires, fire toys, pyrotechnics and fireworks are banned in accordance with Auckland Council Parks regulations. Contained gas BBQs are permitted if used safely and well away from flammable materials.

No anti-social material

This includes but is not limited to: weapons and gang patches, private generators and PAs.

No Glass

So we can all move about safely in bare feet, please don’t bring any glass containers. Decant any essentials into reusable plastics before you come.

No Bean Bags

We’ve spent far too many hours picking nasty polystyrene balls out of the grass- Tāpapakanga will thank you.

Smoke-free Parks

Tāpapakanga Regional Park is designated smoke-free under Auckland Council Parks policy. We encourage you to respect this. Cigarettes will not sold onsite. There is absolutely no smoking inside tents and structures.

Bag and Vehicle checks

In line with our resource consent and liquor licence, our security team will check vehicles and baggage upon entry ,and at certain access points during the festival. This is to prevent any banned items like BYO booze, glass, fireworks and weapons. We appreciate your patience and cooperation in this.

We respect each other and want you to feel safe and cared for.

Discrimination on the basis of gender, race, sexual orientation or origin as well as any form of sexual harassment, whether physical or verbal, have ABSOLUTELY NO PLACE HERE!

If you need assistance please speak to any member of our crew, security team, volunteers, bar staff or stage crew. If you need a safe space to get away from it all, come to Camp Mum’s caravan in Camp HQ or the Old Homestead down by the beach.
