Every drop of water is precious and we are amidst a hot dry summer.
Drink your fill from our drinking water taps – remember to bring a reusable water bottle!
Turn off taps, rinse off in the moana and the lagoon and please be dope, use no soap (look after the creatures that live here, no shampoo please).
He aha te mea nui ō te ao? He tangata, he tangata, he tangata.
What is the most important thing in the world? It is the people, the people, the people.
Be a kind Splorer - Help others; look out for and love each other; be part of the solution.
Splore is helping to build community by strengthening our links with like-minded individuals and groups including Ngati Paoa and Ngati Whanaunga (who hold mana whenua in Tapapakanga), the solar-powered Wash Against Waste crew who help us clean and reuse our dishes (thus reducing landfill waste of single-use cups) and locals like Lawrence the ranger, who is taking our food scraps for his chooks.
We also send a big shout out to other festivals that are trying to make the space more exciting, innovative and trailblazing. We love the work of Shambala, Luminate and Boom - and local resource heroes like Beyond the Bin and Whaingaroa’s Xtreme Zero Waste and of course the team at Globelet for making a reusable future a reality today!
Keep the site clean
Spotted a campsite in desperate need of a clean? Messy neighbours? Help Splore to get sorted and lead by example. Or let one of our team members know and we’ll come to the rescue!
Let’s all contribute to a connected, vibrant and dynamic Splore community.
Every year we have a magic crew of volunteers who help us run things at Splore - from staffing the bins and helping people sort their resources, through to the team at the information desk and our wandering Camp Kaitiaki. Click here if you want to be part of the crew.
