DJ, producer and DIY party starter Jamie Newman has played some of the world's most well regarded festivals and parties. He is responsible for bringing No Lights No Lycra to New Zealand, and is the co-founder of Auckland's morning rave movement Morning People.
Jamie brought No Lights No Lycra to Auckland in 2012, curating over 130 nights of party music during his 4 1/2 years at the helm. He passed over the reigns at the end of 2016 to foster morning rave project Morning People.
Morning People has thrown over 30 parties in 18 months, it's attracted a cult following and has featured some of New Zealand's best DJs and acts, including Aroha, Greg Churchill, Dan Aux, Dick Johnson, Antix and Yoko Zuna.
He's played the Burning Man, Splore, NZ Fashion week opening ceremony, Kate Sylvester's 21st birthday, and Auckland's own Morning People. Jamie's highly curated selection of tech-influenced electronic music is designed for the dance floor.
