Wild Delicious Fermenting Workshop
Amber Rose is an international best selling cookbook author, food stylist, food educator and owner of The Wild Delicious Fermentary.
Her most recent book, released in September 2018 is called Wild Delicious and has been put forward for two literary awards.
She spent her days as a young girl in New Zealand eating and cooking from her mother’s organic garden, foraging for wild fruits, mushrooms, berries and other delightful and delicious seasonal things. Under the guidance of her mother, Kay Baxter, New Zealand’s very own permaculture queen, she also learnt how to save heritage seed and grow the food plants that have nourished her and her family throughout their lives.
For over 16 years, up to 2015, she lived in London working as a food writer, nourishing private chef, food stylist and doula.
During this time she worked with people who have become advocates of healthy living including Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, Chris Martin, Matthew Bellamy, Sadie Frost, the late Alexander McQueen, David Schwimmer, India Waters, Sharleen Spiteri and Kate Moss. She now lives surrounded by bush on the wild east coast of New Zealand, one minute walk from the beach. She currently spends her days cooking, fermenting, writing, foraging, gardening and teaching.
At this years 2019 Splore festival she will be teaching an in-depth fermenting workshop for fermenters of all stages, based around seasonal summer produce.
